ABCC ISSUES ITS REPORT ON PAY-TO-PLAY ALLEGATIONS

Law Offices of John P. Connell, P.C.: On September 2, 2015, the Massachusetts Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission (“ABCC”) issued its “Violation Report” on the so-called “pay-to-play” allegations in the Massachusetts alcoholic beverages industry, which has been investigated by the ABCC since October 2014. In its report, the full content of which can be read here, the ABCC does not issue any violations against any particular wholesaler, restaurant or brewer, but it does recite in great detail the results of its investigation to date and names dozens of licensed establishments that were reviewed in some respect or another. Anyone in the industry would be encouraged to read the full decision.
